Here at Rise And Shine

we have noticed that a difficulty for a majority of homeless people is knowing about services and What support Services have to offer to them as individuals , Another key issue is the limited availability of services , And another main problem is keeping the correct diet and keeping warm.

 

One day my fantastic partner Claire discovered a picture of a great idea to do with a lamp post in the U.S.A

where by members of the public have tied items of clothing with a label attached to a lamp post , donating this item to someone who is homeless.

 

This touched our hearts so Much .

Me and My partner decided to begin looking into this idea further , and when researching into this creation More ,

we had discovered that some people have had, a negative response for doing such a kind deed.

It breaks my heart to know that Many people who had taken this idea on board were now in the front line of an attack of complaints, to do with littering and ruining the scenery.

(ill let you decide this for yourselves my opinion on such a subject).

 

Since we have completed the lamp post research we as a family decided to find away that would resolve any negative impact previous people have suffered.

but at the same time we wanted to make this a statement and more of an impact ,and make this more of a beneficiary to people who are in need.

 

That’s where Rise And Shine The Modern Day Signpost was born,

we have decided to create a designated lamp post in the town center with a Title sign explaining the purpose of the lamp post and what people

can do to help, By Donating clothing to the post a homeless person can then ,obtain the clothing 24-7 to keep warm.

This lamp post will also have a sign post with direction arrows showing where to go to access services if you find yourself to be homeless.

 

Our plans to make this 1980s classic Victorian lamppost to modern day is simple we intend to connect an out of hours contact number via the lamppost

which is to support and assist people when services are unavailable , by creating this feature in this way we will be working around current services and working

with current services to complete a 24/7 access service in order to assist people in crisis. our long term goal is to have an out of hours drop in and advice service to assist people in need.

 

We have noticed a vast amount of publicity in generated through social networking sites, so we have decided to create further adaptations to our service via your android device.

 

we have added a Facebook shop where you can purchase items with our brand to help us raise funds, but we wanted to be Unique with this as well and So we have decided To connect a feature where by you can purchase an item to pin on the lamppost from the comfort of your own front room , we will pin it to the post take a picture of your gift and publish a certificate and your picture of your item on our wall of fame tagging you to the post.

 

Our additional features allow you to include a personal message to your gift finder and also order a framed copy of your certificate through the post.

 

Rise and Shine is built around my own sufferings and that of many other homeless in the United Kingdom and our full attention is to focus on the UK as a whole and start in Eastbourne as a pilot

 

Our intention in the future is to replicate this across other districts creating a support system like no other in the united kingdom.

 

We are in the process of building a 614 page drug and alcohol detox self help guide and assistance counselling service through Social media and advice and support regarding the law and effects on drugs and who to contact in a emergency if required.

We are also currently developing an App, for your android device where you will be able to locate shower and toilet facilities , Find out service locations and opening times , We are to also include an in app personal assistant where by you can Help assist people , you can view profiles of homeless people or purchase a coffee , food or even a roof for the night for someone in need.

This will be added in the near future to our out of hours service of Rise And Shine.
